The life of a graphic designer is filled with late nights, paper cuts, unpaid invoices, and indecisive clients. Day after day we move pixels across screens, working tirelessly to solve problems for people who at the end of the day dictate what the end product will be. Before the global pandemic struck our nation, my work focused on creating various merchandise and objects that brought joy to my life.
However, due to the virus, I realized that I could not progress with the same project as I had planned before, as so much had changed. As such, my solution towards creating design that allowed me to be more stress free turned into a humorous take on my situation within isolation... and so, the After Hours Online Isolation Group was born. Making light of being stuck inside on a computer screen for hours on end until the early hours of the morning, my thesis aims to make the most of a bad situation.
